Mold & Mildew

What can you do now? You could have the lights on during the nights in stead of during day time.

The temperatures are a bit lower at night. You could alternate; one light on one light off, when the temperatures are getting too high to keep temperature down. I mean use half of the lights you would normally have burning.

You could use an airco to lower temperature.

You could remove all the biggest leaves of the plants. The more leaves you remove, the less humidity is in the air. In extreme cases (I have seen this in several grow rooms in Canada) you could remove practically all leaves.
This lowers humidity a lot and makes it difficult for mildew to start.

To combat mildew you could spray diluted milk on the top of the leaves. You spray the first mildew spots which appear with your home made mix: Mix 1 part of milk with 9 parts of water. It can be milk with little fat (half or even less fat) because it's the protein which works.  This works very well against powdery mildew.

There is no biological product against grey mold.

Choosing the seeds wisely is one of the best things to do: Seriotica has good natural resistancy against molds for example.

If you see grey mold: remove all material with the mold right away.
You could paint (with a brush) the fresh wound with an alcohol to kill remaining mold bits which you cannot see.
You could harvest a week before the real harvest date, this prevents grey molds a lot. Because they can attack when the self defense system of the plant goes down near harvest.
